First Steps
When you enter My Galaxy for the first time, you pick a character who represents you in diplomacy, messages, and the story of your empire. Choose someone whose style fits how you want to play — there is no wrong choice for beginners.
After registration you receive a home location on the galaxy map. This is your headquarters (HQ). Open the map, find your base, and click it to open the location menu. Everything important for building your empire starts here: construction, research, shipyard, storage, and more.
Recommended first actions:
- Explore the map — pan and zoom to see planets, moons, stations, and routes near you.
- Open your HQ — check which buildings you already have and what you can build next.
- Stabilize your economy — make sure production buildings run, energy is balanced, and storage can hold what you gather.
- Supply your population — water, food, and housing keep citizens productive; open the population panel if growth stalls.
- Open the main menu (burger icon, top left) — account, maps, messages, and settings live here.
- Bookmark this guide — for quick reference when you need help.
Do not rush into distant wars on day one. Feed your people, keep the lights on, and grow steadily. The galaxy rewards commanders who master their home base first.
